Well thought I would update this is I haven't posted in a while. This is a warp I put on before Christmas for technical sampling. I've put on about 7 warps in total so far and have about 40 samples still got 2 weeks of sampling so thought I would start posting them to see if anyone has any thoughts on whats working and whats before I decide on final samples.
This is a wool and nylon warp to translate a drawing of dodgem lights. I quite like using these yarns as I like the combination of shiny/matt so have used similar things in a lot of my samples. The first 2 were whilst it was still on the loom - a swiss arm which are a delight to use and the others are after its been cut off.
In this sample the nylon in the warp was taut on the loom but has buckled once its been cut off. Although it doesn't translate the drawing I was looking at I quite like this effect and is definetly something which would work for other more organic drawings - so a happy mistake :)
